Raspberry Pi is a credit-size computer board developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Originally intended for education it has had a massive success and is now used on many applications other than education.

Due to its affordable price and low power consumption, Raspberry Pis are an excelent option for running a 24x7 little server at home or even in a small business.

Although is often advertised as a $35 computer, in reality you need to spend more to have it fully running. Depending on your needs, you might want to buy one of the higher RAM options if you plan to run a lot of things. I personally find the 4GB RAM is enough for my needs and I like the CanaKits, although I normally prefer to buy the SD Card separately.
